If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this? Esther 4:14 (NLT)
God places you wherever you are for a reason. There is a reason you are where you are at. Sometimes you don't know that reason until the opportunity appears right in front of you. If you sit back and wait for someone else to do it, you miss out on so much.
Esther was placed as the queen for a very good reason. Esther didn't really want to be the queen. King Xerxes became upset with the present queen and she was removed from her position. So King Xerxes had asked for all the single young woman to the palace. Esther was one of these woman. When Esther was brought before the king, he wanted her as queen. God knew what He was doing here. He knew that the only person who could save the Jews from Haman was another Jew.
God moves you around to achieve things. Sometimes it seems that things don't seem to make sense. You may not be out in a royal position to deliver the Jews, but you know you are living where are you living to do something.
Sometimes God asks you to do hard things. God was asking Esther to go in front of the king. To see a king that has a rule that if you aren't invited the king can choose to kill you or spare you. There was no way to know which the king would choose. God may ask you to do may or may not have as much at stake. God may be asking you to sacrifice is time or money or even your life.
The things when that moment comes you have a choice. You can choose to do what God asks you do or you can choose not to do it. Both have consequences. Mordecai had said that if deliverance comes from someone where else than Esther her family would die. Choosing not to listen to God doesn't always result in the death, but sometimes not receiving a blessing is enough. Sometimes you may have to watch that other person, the one who obeyed, receive your blessings. Have you ever watched someone else step up when you should have? Did you watch them receive a blessing because they obeyed? Those blessing were meant for you. I stinks to watch that happen and for most of you only have to watch it once.
Think about where you are and what is presented. Do what God asks of you. Sometimes it's hard, but there will be blessing later.
